USE: Prodex Total, Prodex Perforated, Prodex Fast Action,
Foil-Fiberglass-Vinyl (FfgV) OR Reflective-Bubble-Reflective (RBR)
POLE BARNS For New Construction:

  1. Install between framing and sheeting
  2. Place double-sided tape on frame
  3. Roll out insulation over frame
  4. Allow insulation to sag slightly (approx 1-3 inches). If using two layers (allow sag (airspace) between both layers).
  5. Attach your sheeting as if the insulation wasn't there
  6. Tape seams with metal tape
For Retrofit Application:

Staple or nail to wood beams. You may install between beams or run opposite direction over beams to avoid having to cut. Tape seams with metal tape. Reflective insulation is most effective when incorporated with a ¾-inch or more airspace on at least the outer side of product. POLE BARNS

POLE BARNS Customer Example:

We recently installed 10 rolls of Prodex insulation in a 3000 sq ft post steel building. The insulation was put on the walls and ceiling. My wife and I installed the entire 10 rolls of insulation by ourselves. It was very easy to install. She would roll the installation on the ground and cut to the appropriate length, then hand it to me while on a Skyjack. I would nail the top of the cut 22' insulation with button nails while she nailed the bottom. Then we taped the seams with metal foil duct tape to complete each cut of insulation. And we continued this way around the entire building.

The Prodex insulation was easy to work with because it was thin, lightweight to handle, easy to cut (we used a utility knife) and we needed no special gear to protect ourselves from irritants.

Customer Example:

I used the insulation I purchased from Insulation4Less to insulate a new storage building. The 2 X 6 ceiling joists were 21 1/2 to 22 1/2 inches apart. So were the 2 X 4 wall studs.

Therefore, I cut the insulation into 24 inch strips. Because of the very high humidity in Deep East Texas, I opted to use a staple gun to install the insulation. It worked very well. At the end of the joists protruding into the overhang. I cut the insulation at 90 degrees in about 2 to 3 inches on both sides. This allowed me to effectively close off the overhang space even with the front wall by simply folding and stapling to create the desired effect. I am very pleased with the effectiveness of the insulation.

I detest working with fiberglass insulation. This insulation was a great alternative for me and it was easy to install.

My only regret is that I should have put double thickness on the west end of the building as it gets afternoon sun.

I hope you find the pictures useful.

Sincerely,
Charles Wright
