USE: Prodex Total, Prodex Fast Action,
Foil-Fiberglass-Vinyl (FfgV) OR Foil-Bubble-Foil (FBF)
STEEL BUILDINGS For New Construction:

  1. Install between framing and sheeting
  2. Place double-sided tape on frame
  3. Roll out insulation over frame
  4. Allow insulation to sag slightly (approx 1-3 inches). If using two layers (allow sag (airspace) between both layers).
  5. Attach your sheeting as if the insulation wasn't there
  6. Tape seams with metal tape

STEEL BUILDINGS For Retrofit Application:

Use a combination of glue, tape or screws to attach to side or underside of metal beams. You may install between beams or run opposite direction over beams to avoid having to cut. Tape seams with metal tape. Reflective insulation is most effective when incorporated with a ¾-inch or more airspace on at least the outer side of product.

STEEL BUILDINGS Customer Example:

Using this product saved me a considerable amount of money and time. The building erection crew used the foil tape you sent and secured the insulation to the framing, as it was 48" on center. After a few weeks I used a small paint roller (and long handle) to apply pressure to the seams and re-press them down. They are still tight 1 year later. The temperature difference is a good 15 to 20 degrees from the outside air and with my evaporative coolers I am very happy with the results.

Thanks,

STEEL BUILDINGS Customer Example:

Metal "barn" with full foam insulation. Installed with double sided tape directly to the metal purlins on the wall and roof. Used high tension wire to support insulation on roof. Wood framing added on top of insulation, fiberglass added to framing.

STEEL BUILDINGS Customer Example:

We used plastic banding strapped to the ceiling beams to support the insulation.
