How To Insulate A Ceiling

Ceiling Prodex (New Install) Over Stud: Use Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, 72 Inch, White, Rustic, Reflective Bubble Reflective or Foil Fiberglass Vinyl.
- Glue (super metal sealant), Tape (double sided tape), staple or screw to affix insulation to wall before installing your studs.
- To improve performance, let insulation sag to create air-gap (2+ inches).
- Tape seams with reflective tape or use Prodex Fast Action or 10M to avoid seam tape.
Ceiling One Layer Under Stud: Use Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, White, Rustic or 72 Inch.
- Roll insulation perpendicular to and under studs.
- Screw insulation to underside of studs.

Two Layers Over/Under Stud: Use Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, White, Rustic or 72 Inch.
- Glue (super metal sealant), Tape double sided tape, staple or screw to affix insulation to wall before installing your studs.
- To improve performance, let insulation sag to create air-gap (2+ inches).
- Tape seams with reflective tape or use Prodex Fast Action or 10M to avoid seam tape.
- Screw 2nd layer of insulation to underside of stud.
Ceiling Prodex Two Layers - One Layer Between and One Layer Under Studs: Use Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, 72 Inch, White, Rustic and 24 Inch or 16 Inch.
- Depending on your stud spacing, staple one layer of Prodex 24 Inch or 16 Inch insulation between studs.
- Screw larger roll (Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, 72 Inch, White or Rustic insulation to underside of studs. Gluing the insulation improves appearance.

Ceiling Prodex One Layer Under Stud plus Drywall : Use Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, White or 72 Inch,
- Staple, screw or glue (super metal sealant) Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, 72 Inch, White or Rustic insulation to underside of studs.
- Push insulation into cavity to create 2 inch or more air-gap.
- Attach drywall.
Ceiling Prodex Two Layers Between/Under Stud with Furring and Drywall: Use Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, 72 Inch, White, Rustic and 24 Inch or 16 Inch.
- Depending on your stud spacing, staple or screw one layer of Prodex 24 Inch or 16 Inch insulation between studs.
- Screw, staple, Glue (super metal sealant) or larger roll (Prodex 48 Inch, Fast Action, 10M, 72 Inch, White or Rustic insulation to underside of studs.
- Attach 1 inch lathe board (furring strip) through underside of insulation.
- Attach drywall.
Ceiling Prodex One Layers Between Studs: Use 24 Inch or 16 Inch.
- Depending on your stud spacing, staple or screw one layer of Prodex 24 Inch or 16 Inch insulation between studs.
