Prodex Total Insulation is an incredibly effective multi-layer reflective insulation product that reflects back radiant (infra-red) energy from the sun so it does not penetrate your home. It also reflects back radiant heat inside the house so it does not escape. Each unit of radiant heat energy that is reflected away from your home in summer and each unit reflected back inside during winter means less operation of your air conditioning and heating systems, less wear and tear on your equipment, and less money you pay in utility costs.

Prodex Total Insulation can be used as stand alone or supplemental insulation. You can use polystyrene boards, blow in, fiberglass insulation or other insulations to supplement. 3/4 inch or more airspace required for optimal performance. Many use furring strips to create airspace. Prodex can be against some insulations like fiberglass batt and still maintain ample airspace because they're composed primarily of airspace. You may also install drywall over Prodex. You can staple Prodex over, under or between the rafters. Attach with staples, glue, nails or tape.

Two layers of reflective foil meeting 1/4-inch closed-cell Polyethylene foam (superior to bubble). The last step seen is a unique crimping device -- It creases the aluminum. Benefits to you: The crease creates more airflow in applications, which enhances the insulation performance. Creasing the aluminum also provides more aluminum surface area (more product for your buck)!
